Kids’ books done, back to MtWt

I’ve been absent! It’s for a good reason, though: since my first son was born, I have been making a book of memories and pictures for him which I give as a Christmas gift. The first book was for his first two years, the second book when he was two, and his third when he was three. Now I have a second son and I had to do double the work, which altogether netted out to 511 pages, and it has entirely consumed my time. These books capture our adventures as a family as well as smaller, more silly stuff, like something funny one of them did or said that I want to keep forever. When I began this memory book project, I looked at a lot of different services online to see who had the best book-making interface and who printed high-quality books. I eventually landed on Blurb, and I want to share with you all some of the great things they do that have let me create printed memory books that my sons and I can keep forever.

The gallery above is for the basic web browser interface. They have a more advanced client you can download (for free) if you really want total control over your book. But me, I’m a simple man. Once your book is done, purchasing and shipping is handled quickly and the books get printed and delivered quickly. .

So, if you have a project like this, whether it be for your kids, a spouse, or a family member, check out Blurb. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
