Description: Up-tempo experimental rock makes up Mirrored by Battles. There are vocals in this album but their used as much as a musical instrument as a guitar so the distraction from the lyrics is minimal. The song “Atlas” has appeared on multiple top 100 and 200 lists by prominent publications and other portions of the albums have appeared in video games and television. This all because the music is without comparison, i.e. entirely original and unique. I cannot pigeon-hole Battles’ Mirrored into being useful for a specific genre of writing but have found it most useful at work and while needing an artistic and upbeat push for fiction writing.
